Duo Aelia

Duo Aelia was formed in 2007 at the United World College of the Adriatic and „Scuola Superiore Internazionale di Musica da Camera del Trio di Trieste“. They studied with Igor Cognolato, Alberto Miodini, Massimo Belli and the Trio di Trieste teachers Dario De Rosa, Renato Zanettovich, Maureen Jones, and Enrico Bronzi. They continued on to further studies at the Boston Conservatory with Lynn Chang and Max Levinson. Since their formation, they have been giving recitals in Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Boston (U.S.A.), received the 2nd Prize at the International Chamber Music Competition “Nuovi Orizzonti” and in collaboration with cellist Ignacy Grzelazka, they won the Boston Conservatory Honors Chamber Competition in 2010. During summer 2010, Duo Aelia toured and performed in five concerts: Societa “Dante Alighieri” (Isola, Slovenia), Auditorium “Principe Raimondo” (Duino), Sala Beethoven “Schiller per la Musica” (Trieste), Circolo Ufficiali dell'Esercito (Trieste), Museo dell'Arte Contemporanea (Monfalcone, Italy). In summer 2011, they studied at the International Summer Academy Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, where they performed for and worked with prof. Valery Oistrakh and Michael Frischenschlager. Duo Aelia also participated and were invited as guest artists at Portogruaro International Music Festival “A Tempo”, where they studied with Trio di Parma members Ivan Rabaglia, Alberto Miodini, and Enrico Bronzi. They performed as alumni at the opening season of “Matinee Concerts-Aperitivi in Musica” in Auditorium “Principe Raimondo” in Duino. During the years of study, they worked with teachers such as Joseph Silverstein, Carmit Zori, Yehonatan Berick, Pamela Frank, Andres Cardenes, Jeffrey Ziegler (Kronos Quartet), Ani Schnarch, Michael Lewin and Jorja Fleezanis. Future engagements include performances with the National Radio Television Orchestra of Albania, Chamber Music Recitals in Tirana, Albania and Vilnius, Lithuania where they will also give workshops and masterclasses on Chamber Music Playing.
